Little Co. is a makeup brand created for pre-teens and teensdesigned to make beauty feel playful, expressive and safe, without talking down to its audience. The brand celebrates self-expression at an early age, recognising that even small beginnings carry confidence, curiosity and individuality.
They approached us to create a visual identity and packaging system that feels fun and age-appropriate, while still being thoughtfully designed and aspirational.


Challenge
How do you design a beauty brand for a younger audience that feels playful without being childish and expressive without feeling overwhelming?
Little Co. needed a system that speaks to pre-teens and teens with respect, creating excitement and confidence, while ensuring the brand feels intentional, considered and well-designed.
Story
We began by reframing what “little” means. Instead of seeing it as something lesser, we treated it as a point of strength. Small, but full of potential. This idea became the foundation of the brand’s visual language.
We explored how scale, form and detail could communicate this belief. Pixels emerged as a key motif, small individual units that come together to form something bold and complete. The process focused on balancing structure with play, ensuring the brand feels energetic and expressive while remaining clear and cohesive across products.

System
The visual identity is anchored by a logo that feels playful and confident. Pixel-inspired letterforms give the wordmark character and memorability, reinforcing the idea that even the smallest elements matter. The logo adapts easily across formats, working seamlessly on compact packaging and bolder brand moments alike.




The packaging system builds on this identity using colour, pixels and illustrations as core elements. Each product uses a consistent structure, while variations in colour and graphic details help differentiate items across the range.











The pixel language appears across boxes, compacts and tubes, creating a recognisable system that feels fun, dynamic and cohesive.
Together, branding and packaging come together to reflect Little Co.’s core message: small doesn’t mean insignificant.
